I couldn’t put this down!

I have been waiting for this book ever since the last book finished looking forward eagerly to read what would happen next to Jacob and his friends. A few weeks ago I was so excited to hear that a friend of mine got a copy of a proof to read for his work. I then hounded him to lend me it and I’ve been reading it throughout the past few days enjoying each moment of it (he’s not even gotten a chance to read it for himself but let it be his loss as I couldn’t wait much longer).

The story takes off where the third book ended with Jacobs family shocked by the peculiar children and the adult stranger on their property along side Jacob who was meant to be going to a mental facility.
Jacob and the team are thrown into many new experiences in this new series, with new loops, new friends and even new dangerous problems faced!
One of my favourite things about this book is getting more insight into the history and lore of peculiardom, we learn why there are so few ymbrenes in America and we even get a glimpse of something much bigger over the horizon that has been known by so few for such a long time. This big thing will guarantee us more books which I can not wait for!

In summary I loved this book, Ransom holds me hostage to this book (sorry couldn’t resist) in wanting to always know more and in this one he delivers but teases so much more in the coming series. The characters are slowly growing from the children they once were and it shows in the pages in how they interact with each other, its not all smooth sailing from here and I look forward to sharing that journey with them.

Graphic Novel Review: Invincible compendium volume 3 by Robert kirkman TS

Invincible Compendium Volume 3  By Robert Kirkman  Writer:  Robert Kirkman Artist:  Ryan Ottley ,  Cory Walker ,  John Rauch ,  Jean-Francois Beaulieu ,  Nathan Fairbairn Cover:  Ryan Ottley ,  Nathan Fairbairn Published: July 18, 2018 This is my most anticipated graphic novel for the past five years!  So I start this by disclosing that I am a huge fan of Robert Kirkman and the whole Invincible series to start with, I first read the compendium volume 1 maybe eight years ago as a gift from my brother and managed to finish it in a matter of days. I started this series late to the party and thankfully only had two years to wait for the second volume which was also incredible but unfortunately with just how many issues are packed into these compendiums I have had a five year wait for this third volume to be published and I have to say, it was worth the wait. The story being issue to issue jumps right in from the last so ...

Graphic Novel Review - Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys: The Big Lie by Anthony Del Col

Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys: The Big Lie by Anthony Del Col Buy it here Something terrible has happened in the nice town of Bayport, Frank and Joe Hardy's father has been murdered and they're suspected of the crime. Only with the help of Nancy Drew can the boys clear their names and find out who really killed their father. Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys is a great modern take on the crime solving cast with a dark noir theme throughout. I felt the darkness in the art was a great take on the story bringing the duo into their more mature lights. I had never read any of the Hardy Boy or Nancy Drew stories but have really enjoyed this and would read further if this style of writing was a route that it went down again, it is defiantly worth a read for everyone who likes a crime solving graphic novel.

Book Review - The World of Lore, Volume 1: Monstrous Creatures by Aaron Mahnke

The World of Lore, Volume 1: Monstrous Creatures  by Aaron Mahnke Hardcover: 320 pages Publisher: Wildfire; 01 edition (10 Oct. 2017) Language: English ISBN-10: 1472251652 Buy it here The world of Lore is the written counterpart to Aaron Mahnke's hit podcast Lore which has captivated listeners with his captivating storytelling and dark stories from history worldwide.  The world of Lore is a great book that reads just like his podcast meaning that you can practically hear his voice as you read passages of dark stories that leave you unable to put the book down.  I will point out that if you have heard all the episodes of his podcast you will likely have heard all of these stories read by Aaron already. Although even having heard everything already I found reading it all just as exciting as if hearing them for the first time again given the alternative format.  I hope that there will become a volume 2 of the series and would defiantly...
